Frequently asked questions
The answers you need before requesting a quote.
How do they work?
Air-to-water heat pumps transfer the free thermal energy of the outdoor air to the water of the hydronic system. This allows you to heat and cool rooms (via radiators, fan coils or underfloor systems) and produce domestic hot water. It is a different technology from air-to-air heat pumps, which blow air directly into rooms like traditional air conditioners. The compressors are extremely efficient and keep delivering excellent performance even at extreme outdoor temperatures.
Can they be integrated with photovoltaic panels?
Absolutely. All our heat pumps work in perfect synergy with photovoltaic systems: the machine intelligently uses the electricity you generate to heat, cool and produce hot water, drastically cutting your energy bills.
Are they suitable for replacing a gas boiler in a renovation?
Yes, the models in the range adapt easily to existing systems, making the transition smooth.
Can several units be connected in cascade?
Yes. With the Multi Kita system you can connect several units in cascade to add up their output, creating a tailor-made, scalable system. Having several machines (redundancy) ensures continuous service even while a single unit is being serviced.
Are the systems quiet?
Absolutely. Advanced engineering ensures exceptional acoustic comfort, essential when installing outside homes, apartment blocks, hotels or offices. Accessories such as Flow Grid and Silence Kit reduce noise even further.
What is the largest heat pump in the range?
As a single unit, the most powerful models are the KITA LP and KITA LP PLUS (R290, up to 35 and 40 kW heating). For higher requirements, Multi Kita cascade connection can serve any large residential, commercial or industrial complex.
